Oak Academy, Bournemouth – School Redevelopment
The SCA Group have commenced work for our valued client Kier Construction at the site of the Oak Academy in Bournemouth. Our system scaffolding solution is being utilised to carry out the necessary redevelopment of the educational facility on the South Coast, and the project is well under way and progressing well.
Kier Construction were appointed by the Department of Education to deliver the redevelopment of Oak Academy, with a new campus design for the secondary school replacing existing buildings on site. Once completed, the redeveloped site will provide a variety of learning places, including Science and Technology classrooms, and improved facilities to cover Sport, Music, Drama and SEND provision.
As well as revamping the existing site, the Oak Academy will ultimately become a net zero carbon facility in its operation, which is in line with the DfE’s latest output specification requirements.
