Tipner Lake Bridge

SCA were employed by Colas to undertake the removal of overgrown vegetation, the repair of concrete stairs, and painting over graffiti damaged areas.

The work was undertaken using Rope AccessTechnicians to enable safe removal of the vegetation to the steep embankment, and overpainting of graffiti to the narrow abutment wall

1.The work involved a setting up a safe system of work using rope access safety lines allowing fall arrest equipment to be used to prevent falling from height, to carry out the removal of overgrown vegetation, removing of the plant roots, painting over graffiti damaged areas of the North east embankment wall, followed by replacing four number stair slabs to the safety escape evacuation route staircase from the M275 motorway. 
 
2. Set up a safe system of work using rope access safety lines allowing fall arrest equipment to be used to prevent falling from height along the narrow access abutment wall, followed by painting over graffiti damaged areas along the abutment wall.
 
3. set up a safe system of work, remove minor vegetation to the bottom of the embankment wall, followed by painting over graffiti damaged areas at the bottom end of the embankment wall.
